Seriously, where was the Secret Service agent to deflect the second shoe? This guy must have had one hell of an arm to beat agents trained to take bullets.
Or, perhaps, the agents wanted him to get hit. If this had been an actual threat, do we really need to risk having Dick Cheney as president even if only for a month?

I have no problem with celebrities trying to get into politics; name recognition means much in our day and age. However, I really don’t want to sit through another debacle like the California runoff of a few years ago. (If the woman who slept with Eliot Spitzer throws her name in the ring, I might just lose it entirely.)
On the other end of the spectrum, the governor of Illinois is currently in custody for taking bribes to fill President Elect Obama’s seat. (Perhaps Dresher should have just used her money to buy her way into the Senate.) After that speach yesterday concerning the “sit in” of workers who were suddenly laid off, I was just starting to admire him (not that I had anything against him to begin with).
Life is really going to be interesting after 20 January…
