Who are you, and why should I care?

I am a 27 year old male with delusions of being able of change the world through song (or threats of violence, whichever works best). I frequent pub quizzes in the Portland, Oregon area (hence, the title of this blog) and am trying to go back to school after nine years in the military.

You should care because, like you, I inhabit this crazy world and believe I have a unique perspective on life, the universe, and everything. It is important for us to gather as many perspectives as possible, lest we box up our mind in an impenetrable fortress of self-delusion.

What kinds of things will you be discussing here?

Anything and everything. There will be a weekly feature where I will dissect a witty t-shirt found online and explain to you why it is funny. I’ll talk about board games and pub quizzes, movies and TV shows, books and comics, and anything else that sparks my interest.
